Deck Review – The Hanson-Roberts Tarot deck
I want to start by saying that this is my current favourite deck.
I believe this deck could be easily used by a beginner tarot card reader (provided they do some additional research on the traditional meanings of the tarot cards), an “intermediate” level reader who already has experience with several decks perhaps and I believe even a seasoned reader would find this deck enjoyable and insightful.
The smaller size makes tham a lot easier to handle, shuffle and layout compared to other decks out there. Regardless of their size, they are sturdy and have a glossy surface, making them very easy to work with, they have a flow to them.
The artwork is beautiful, you can see the coloured pencil lines effect on the cards, the colours blend together nicely and have a warm tone to them.
The artists stayed true to the traditional aspects of the cards while at the same time putting their own spin on them. You still have all the traditional symbols in the cards, but we can see what the authors chose to focus on in the illustration of each and every card.
